RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE YOU APPLY:

  1. Read the BIG LIFT Guidelines to ensure your project meets the requirements. Property owners and tenants may apply depending on the category. 
  2. Schedule a meeting with BCIC staff to discuss your project by emailing Eric Quintero: equintero@brownsvillecic.com.
  3. Ensure your project is within District 2 of the City of Brownsville.

Note: If your project is not in District 2, you'll need to wait until the program becomes available in your district before you can be considered. The timeline is available in the guidelines. Below are the timelines for the cycle opening for future applications.

District 2 Open Cycle September 1 –Oct. 9, 2026

District 3 Open Cycle December 1 –Jan. 15, 2027

District 4 Open Cycle March 1 – April 19, 2027

ACCIONES SUGERIDAS ANTES DE APLICAR:

  1. Lee los Lineamientos del Programa BIG LIFT para verificar que tu proyecto cumple con los requisitos. Propietarios y negocios que rentan pueden aplicar según su categoría.
  2. Programa una reunión con personal de BCIC para hablar de tu proyecto enviando un correo a Eric Quintero: equintero@brownsvillecic.com.
  3. Verifica que tu proyecto esté dentro del Distrito Apropiado de la ciudad de Brownsville.

Nota: Si tu proyecto no está en el Distrito 2, tendrás que esperar a que el programa esté disponible en tu distrito para ser considerado. A continuación se muestran las fechas de apertura de ciclos para futuras solicitudes.

Si estás fuera del Distrito 2 pero te gustaría aplicar, llena nuestro formulario de interés para mantenerte al tanto y recibir recordatorios sobre las fechas de apertura de tu distrito.

  • Distrito 1: 1 de junio – 10 de julio de 2026
  • Distrito 2: 1 de septiembre – 9 de oct. de 2026
  • Distrito 3: 1 de diciembre – 15 de enero de 2027
  • Distrito 4: 1 de marzo – 19 de abril de 2027

EL PROGRAMA NO TIENE COMO FINALIDAD FINANCIAR COMPLETAMENTE NI LANZAR NUEVOS NEGOCIOS.

EL SOLICITANTE DEBE DEMOSTRAR QUE CUENTA CON EL CAPITAL DISPONIBLE PARA COMPLETAR EL PROYECTO EN SU TOTALIDAD.

SI EL CONSEJO DIRECTIVO DE BCIC RECHAZA LA SOLICITUD, EL SOLICITANTE SERÁ EL ÚNICO RESPONSABLE DE CUALQUIER COSTO RELACIONADO CON EL CUMPLIMIENTO DE LOS REQUISITOS PARA APLICAR.
